Privacy Policy

PhysPrep ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information our mobile application (the "App") collects, how it is used, and who it is shared with.

1. Information We Collect

The App itself does not ask you for your name, email address, or other directly identifying information, and does not require you to create an account. However, the App uses third-party services (described below) that automatically collect certain data from your device in order to provide advertising, analytics, and subscription functionality. Specifically:

Device or other IDs: Your device's advertising ID (and related device identifiers) are collected and shared with our advertising and analytics providers, and with our subscription provider for purchase attribution.
Purchase history: If you buy a premium subscription, information about that transaction (such as product purchased, price, and subscription status) is collected and shared with our subscription management provider and Google Play Billing, so your entitlement can be verified and managed across your devices.
App activity: We collect information about how you interact with the App (screens viewed, features used, and, where applicable, in‑app search terms) to understand usage and improve the App.
App info and performance: We collect crash logs and diagnostic data to help us identify and fix bugs and performance issues.

We do not collect your precise or approximate location, contacts, photos, messages, health data, or financial account information (such as card numbers).

2. Third-Party Services We Use

The App integrates the following third-party SDKs, each of which processes data under its own privacy policy:

These services may transmit data off your device to their own servers, independent of PhysPrep. We do not control, and are not responsible for, how these third parties further process the data once received, beyond what is described in their own privacy policies.

Advertising ID

You can reset or limit use of your device's advertising identifier at any time in your Android device settings (Settings > Google > Ads), which limits its use for personalized advertising.

3. Local Data Storage

Your quiz progress, streaks, preferences, and other in-app settings are stored locally on your device using your device's internal storage (AsyncStorage). This data is not transmitted to our servers, is fully within your control, and is permanently removed when you uninstall the App.

4. Data Sharing and Deletion

We do not sell your personal data.
Data collected by the third-party SDKs above is shared with those providers as described in Section 2.
Because the App does not use accounts and most data is stored locally on your device, you can remove locally stored data at any time by uninstalling the App. To limit collection by AdMob and Firebase Analytics, you can reset/opt out of your advertising ID as described above, or disable ad personalization in your Google Account settings.
To request deletion of purchase-related data held by RevenueCat, contact us using the details in Section 7 and we will forward your request to RevenueCat.

5. Children's Privacy

Our App is designed for students in Grades 9–12. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Note that the App displays advertising via Google AdMob and uses Firebase Analytics, which may process device identifiers as described above; if you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with data you did not consent to, please contact us so we can address it.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we add or remove third-party services. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date." We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
