    How it works

The Pomodoro Technique alternates short, focused work sessions with breaks. The classic pattern is 25 minutes of focus followed by a 5-minute break, with a longer 15–30 minute break after every four sessions.

    1. Write down the one task you’ll work on.
    2. Press start (or Space) and work until the timer rings.
    3. Take the break and step away from the screen.
    4. Repeat. Completed sessions and focus minutes are tracked for today.

The timer keeps accurate time even if the tab is in the background, and the remaining time is shown in the tab title. Shortcuts: Space start/pause, R reset, S skip.

    FAQ

Will the timer keep running in a background tab?

Yes. It is based on the system clock rather than counting ticks, so it stays accurate even when the browser throttles background tabs.

    Where are my stats stored?

In your browser’s local storage on this device. Nothing is sent to a server.

    Why don’t I get notifications?

Enable “Desktop notification” and allow notifications when your browser asks. Some browsers block notifications on pages you haven’t interacted with.
